Camera & Recording
CalmShot uses Apple's native Cinematic Video API to create a real bokeh effect — the same technology used in Apple's Camera app. This is not a filter or a simulation. It produces a genuine depth-of-field effect in real time.
Use the Aperture slider to control the intensity of the blur.
CalmShot records in 9:16 vertical format and automatically selects the best resolution supported by your device — up to 4K. You can choose your preferred resolution in Settings.
Every recording is saved automatically to your iPhone's Photos library as soon as you stop recording. There is no in-app library — CalmShot saves directly to Photos and gets out of the way.
The Aperture slider (left) controls the depth of field — how blurred the background is. Slide down for more blur, up for less.
The Expo slider (right) controls the exposure — how bright or dark the image is. Useful when your environment is too bright or too dim.
Tap anywhere on the viewfinder to set the focus and exposure point. A circle appears to confirm. For a long press (0.6s), the focus and exposure lock — a square with a lock icon confirms this. Tap elsewhere to unlock.
Teleprompter
Go to the Script tab, create a new script, and type or paste your text. Back on the Camera tab, select your script from the "Active Script" menu. The text will appear just below the lens as an overlay while you film.
The script scrolls automatically when you start recording. Adjust the speed with the Vitesse slider.
Yes. Drag up or down on the script overlay to navigate forward or backward through your script at any time.
Up to 10 scripts. You can also export any script as a .txt file to the Files app for backup or sharing.
Privacy & Data
Nothing. CalmShot collects zero data. No analytics, no crash reports, no usage tracking. The app has no network access. Your scripts, preferences, and videos never leave your device.
No account, no sign-in, no email address. You download the app and use it immediately.
