Privacy Policy

Effective March 26, 2026 · Calm Tech Notebook, Québec, Canada

The short version.

CalmShot collects nothing. No account. No tracking. No analytics. No data leaves your device. Ever.

1. No Data Collected

CalmShot does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. The app has no user accounts, no login, no registration, and no network communication of any kind.

All data created within the app — scripts, preferences, recordings — stays entirely on your device.

2. Videos and Photos

Videos recorded with CalmShot are saved directly to your iPhone's Photos library using Apple's PHPhotoLibrary framework. They are stored on your device only, subject to your own iCloud settings managed independently by Apple.

CalmShot does not access, read, or transmit any photos or videos from your library.

3. Scripts

Scripts you write and save are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. They are never uploaded, synced to a server, or accessible to Calm Tech Notebook or any third party.

4. No Third-Party SDKs

CalmShot contains zero third-party dependencies. No analytics SDK, no crash reporting service, no advertising network, no tracking library. The app is built exclusively with Apple's native frameworks.

5. Camera and Microphone

CalmShot requests access to your camera and microphone solely to record video. These permissions are used only while you are actively recording. Access is never used for any other purpose.

6. Children

CalmShot does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Since no data is collected at all, COPPA and similar regulations are met by design.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. Given the nature of the app, we do not anticipate material changes.
