1. Acceptance
By downloading or using CalmShot, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. License
Calm Tech Notebook grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use CalmShot on any Apple device you own or control, subject to the Apple App Store Terms of Service.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any part of the app.
3. One-Time Purchase
CalmShot is sold as a one-time purchase at $14.99 USD. There are no subscriptions, no recurring charges, and no in-app purchases. All future updates to the app are included at no additional cost.
Refunds are handled according to Apple's standard App Store refund policy.
4. Your Content
You retain full ownership of all videos, scripts, and content you create with CalmShot. Calm Tech Notebook claims no rights over your content. Since the app is entirely local, your content never reaches our servers — because we have none.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use CalmShot only for lawful purposes. You may not use the app to:
- Record individuals without their consent where required by law
- Create content that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
CalmShot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Calm Tech Notebook does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Calm Tech Notebook disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Calm Tech Notebook shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of CalmShot, including loss of data or recordings.
We strongly recommend maintaining your own backups of important recordings.
8. Updates and Changes
Calm Tech Notebook may update CalmShot at any time. We may also update these Terms. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
